KUALA LUMPUR (May 4): PMW International Bhd (KL:PMW) has secured a three-year renewal on its concrete pole supply agreement with CTS Horizon Sdn Bhd, which serves all major telcos in Sabah.

The agreement, which covers the supply of pre-stressed spun concrete poles for telco infrastructure, is for a three-year period starting Dec 12, 2025, plus a two-year extension option, according to a statement on Monday.

“This renewal not only reinforces our position in the telecommunications infrastructure segment but also underscores PMW’s role as a reliable supplier supporting ongoing network expansion and maintenance in Sabah,” PMW executive director and CEO Lee Hon Hwa said.

The extension’s value was not disclosed as PMW noted orders will be issued progressively via purchase orders over the job’s period. The supply agreement was first inked in 2017.

Its unit, PMW Winabumi Sdn Bhd, secured the renewal from CTS Horizon Sdn Bhd, formerly known as Celcom Timur (Sabah) Sdn Bhd, on April 30. CTS is a joint venture between CelcomDigi Bhd (KL:CDB), Qhazanah Sabah Bhd and Hugold Success Sdn Bhd.

CTS has earmarked RM316.3 million in investment over the next three years, including plans to roll out 120,000 fibre-to-the-home premises, PMW noted, which is expected to drive sustained demand for supporting infrastructure components.

Beyond its continued partnership with CTS in Sabah, PMW noted the potential to expand the collaboration to other regions.

“Looking ahead, PMW sees opportunities to expand its collaboration with CTS beyond Sabah into regions such as Sarawak and Kalimantan, in line with CTS’s broader growth strategy, which includes expansion into next-generation digital infrastructure and data centre-related developments,” Lee said.

At the time of writing, shares in PMW were up half a sen or 1.82% higher at 28 sen, valuing the company at RM245.3 million.
